I grew up in Edenton NC.
I don’t think anywhere else will ever feel like home for me. As small southern towns go, there isn’t a nicer one. In fact, Edenton is heralded as “The South’s Prettiest Small Town.”
Over the years, I’ve grown in my political views and have come to appreciate the value in small agrarian leaning townships, and all of these ideas (in my mind) are beautifully summed up in the town of Edenton. She has her problems, that’s for sure…but I think if anything in this life is worth defending…it’s Edenton.
So, if you’re interested in hearing the opinion of a Reformed, Austrian (economics) leaning, Agrarian Southerner who takes his Christianity very seriously; AND you’re from Edenton, or the surrounding areas…then, I hope you’ll enjoy my commentary on life in the “Inner Banks.”

Dear Scott — I have appreciated you comments on the American Vision blog concerning a female Vice Presidential candidate for the up-coming general election. I HAVE coined the term “Sanatification”, which term, I’m using in a book that the Lord asked me to write for Him back in January 2008, while praying about 0430 hours. I first thought the book was to be about my experiences over the years beginning with my two (2) tours of duty as a U.S. Navy surgeon in-country in Vietnam — BUT the Lord simply told me that it was Because He had Allowed me to have those experiences AND brought me through them Alive (although injured during a Maring fire-base attack by North Vietnam Army Regulars) that He said I had the qualifications to write this book for Him.
