An Update on The Brave Patriot Bierfeldt

June 30, 2009

Awhile back, I wrote a blog about this:  http://shotgunwildatheart.wordpress.com/2009/04/07/another-american-victimized-by-orwellian-police/

Campaign for Liberty sent out an email updating everyone on the story. From the email:

You may remember Steve Bierfeldt’s story. A few months ago he went through a harrowing ordeal at the St. Louis Airport.

He was unconstitutionally searched, held against his rights, verbally harassed — and he recorded the whole thing on his cellular phone.

Steve’s bravery in defense of his rights made him a cult celebrity in liberty circles.

And now his heroism is going mainstream.

You see, Steve has filed a lawsuit against the TSA, and CNN recently picked up the story.

Chemo Therapy Stickup!

May 19, 2009

chemo_stickup_600

I am outraged over the current case concerning Daniel Hauser and the state’s attempt to force his parents into giving him up for chemo therapy to treat his cancer.

From Natural News:

In yet another assault in health freedom, a Minnesota court has ruled that the parents of 13-year-old Daniel Hauser must subject him to toxic chemotherapy treatments or they will be arrested and have their son taken away by state authorities.

See the full article here:  http://www.naturalnews.com/026283.html

Instead of taking this unjust and absurd court ruling to heart, the mother has apparently made a run for it!  http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jZdKeCFSczuUghJkSegi8DGfMK-wD989GMTG0

God bless her, and I hope she can keep her son safe from the fascist tyrants who currently seek her arrest!

Frightening Plea for Revolution

May 18, 2009

I checked my email a few minutes ago and found a letter from Ron Paul urging all of his supporters to support this new upstart named Adam Kokesh (a former U.S. Marine.)

On Kokesh’s web site, he has a very rousing and passionate speech with rhetoric reminiscent of the Revolutionary period in our country.

Listen with a discerning Christian mind:

This sermon does give me chill bumps.  The guy knows which buttons to push.  At the same time…he never mentions God.  He never appeals to anything higher than his own libertarian ideals.

This folks…scares me.  In fact, after listening to his rhetoric, I could imagine it coming from the lips of a future tyrant.

All revolutions are inherently evil and destructive to the host nation.  We DO need to resist tyranny in any legal way we can.  I cannot advocate violence however (as Kokesh seems to do) because God has not ordained for the populace to be the just wielder of the sword.

It is the job of our lesser magistrates…our town, and state governments, the sherriff, etc. to stand up for our rights against an over-reaching federal “establishment.”

To say otherwise is to wrap up humanistic tyranny in a “don’t tread on me” flag and hope to take control of the regime in DC before the hardcore fascist do.  Either way…humanism leads to the worst kinds of tyranny.

America doesn’t need a resurgence of libertarian ideals…she needs a Reformation.

Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of…Blowback?

April 30, 2009

pirate-copy

The pirate has become a legendary figure in American pop culture.  Consider the recent Disney franchise “Pirates of the Caribbean” starring Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom.

It seems though, with the recent surge in piracy among poor Somalians, that piracy in and of itself is nowhere near as “quaint” as pop culture would have us believe.  In fact, it seems that only a certain sort of pirate is popularized.  (The romantic victorian era scallywag!)

The poor, uneducated Somalians, (on the other-hand) are two-bit crooks who have dared assault the United States of America!  With all the controversy surrounding recent U.S. action abroad, it is almost refreshing to have a solid “enemy” and visible “front” for a change.

But is the outpouring of righteous rage by Americans really justified?  To find out, we need to briefly consider the causes of Somalian piracy.

According to award winning columnist Eric Margolis, there are two basic reasons. (See his article here:  http://www.ericmargolis.com/political_commentaries/pirates-of-somalia_1.aspx )

Somalia is not even a nation really.  It is simply defined by where other nation’s boundries end.  It has gone through various civil uprisings, chaos and war very recently.  This has caused “dire poverty and desperation” Margolis says, leading to a rampant increase in piracy.

Another factor is the way the fish populations off the coast of Somalia have been drastically stripped due to Somalia’s lack of ability to adequately defend her resources from foreign fishermen.  This leads to further economic turmoil.

The pirates have been very successful.  When the ability to build large amounts of wealth combine with the allure of adventure and glory….it’s hard to see how a young (starving) Somalian would pass it up!

If these factors alone were all that spawned the Somalian pirates, then I’d be “onboard” with the blind American outrage.

However…consider an interesting tid-bit of info:

Somalia was controled (in large part) by the Islamic Courts Union (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_Courts_Union ) until around 2006 when the radically anti-Islamic Bush administration backed an Etheopian war with Somalia which resulted in the loss of power by the ICU.  Anarchy has reigned ever since in Somalia as various warlords battle for power.

Why can’t Americans learn that we are not to police the globe?  In the end, the Bush regime’s attempt to keep Somalia from becoming an Islamic nation, has resulted in economic and political turmoil…

…turmoil that compells 16 year old boys to take up arms and attack American ships.

Let’s trade with Somalia…support socially stabilizing (and cohesive) elements (even if they’re Muslims) in the society…and by all means, let’s stop policing the globe and pretending that the idea of Messianic Statism doesn’t cause all sorts of political and economic ramifications (or blowback!)

Another American Victimized By Orwellian Police

April 7, 2009

Steve Bierfeldt is a hero for liberty lovers everywhere!

The lesson here is, when you’re being interrogated, it’s not going to be a fair, intellectual debate.

You will be surrounded by at least three officers who are all using demeaning and intimidating language.  (One of the officers in the above clip was accusing the hero of being “childish” for failing to yield to tyranny…the officer himself using a bastardized form of English…as if he were somehow morally or intellectually superior???  Are you freakin’ kidding me?)

The hero stuck to his guns.  You see…Mr. Fascist, Moronic, Officer…here in America, we have something called “rule of law” because we are a “Republic.”  I know these are foreign concepts to you; but once you look up their meaning, you’ll see that courageous Americans have no fear of the DEA, or the FBI if they’ve done nothing wrong.

It’s only when the law becomes shifty and constantly arbitrary…depending on the instant whim of a dictatorial and tyrannous body (be it one man or a large group of men) that it is no longer fit to govern men.

Thank God our founders and forefathers fought and died for this Republic;  the effects of which still manage to instill courage in the heart of a young man being unjustly and unfairly detained.

All freedom lovers had better begin preparing for what they would do, and how they would act in a similar situation.

God Bless The Comedian!

March 11, 2009

Thanks to the free markets, competition, and largely to YouTube, we freedom lovers have hope that the coming storm of tyranny will not go unchallenged!

This clip contains some harsh language, but it is so great that I had to post it.  Comedian John Stewart hits the nail directly on the head!

Additionally, see Don Harrold’s reaction.  He says that Stewart was far too soft on Jim Cramer.  Don does us all a favor by going through and highlighting many of the embarrassments produced by Cramer’N”Chief.

Austrian Tea Party?

February 20, 2009

Uhhh…Mr. Santelli?  I’m afraid you’re a little too late bro…Our congress already gave away all of our money.  The time for debate over what is done with this money is long finished.

I would suggest…instead of a Chicago Tea party…having instead an AUSTRIAN tea party!

For perspective on what an Austrian Tea party would look like, as well as a good statement about the relevance of Mr. Santelli’s rant…I’ll post Don Harrold’s video below.  Don Harrold is a hero of mine!  In addition to the Don Harrold video, check out this great blog by Thomas R. Eddleman:  http://www.lewrockwell.com/eddlem/eddlem27.html Eddleman lays out a plan that could genuinely be called an “Austrian Tea Party.”

Come on Shotgun, Is America REALLY Marxist?

October 21, 2008

I’ve recently become  a big fan of financial advisor Dave Ramsey.

Last Monday (Columbus day) I read his book “The Total Money Makeover.”  As a result, I’m now getting myself out of the horrible debt that I’m in.  (If anyone out there wants to buy a red 2007 Mustang with low mileage, let me know!)

Dave Ramsey is a mainstream, Christian, financial advisor…well respected by all the Christian soccer moms and Rotary club members…you know…average Americans.  He’s no cook or fringe extermist by any means.

That’s why, when Dave Ramsey begins ranting about the Marxism in America, I take it seriously.  Consider this clip of his:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66NoqEXD8Xg

America has implemented all of Karl Marx’ 10 planks of communism.  Consider the following two excellent articles by Joel McDurmon of American Vision.  In them, he highlights the 10 planks, and shows how America has succumbed to them:

The Planks We Walk to Our Doom, Part I:  http://www.americanvision.org/blog/?p=209

The Planks We Walk to Our Doom, Part 2:  http://www.americanvision.org/blog/?p=210

Mother America

October 20, 2008

Isn’t it nice knowing that the all powerful messianic American State is looking out for our every personal need?

I love the way Wilton D. Alston clarifies the issue in the following article:

http://www.jbs.org/index.php/jbs-news-feed/3420

They take a supposed “horror” like highway-deaths in this instance, and arbitrarily draw lines around the action.

Now…the simple act of talking on a cell phone, or neglecting to wear your seat belt are criminal acts.

Killing someone with your car is terrible. Why does it matter if it was due to cell phone usage, alcohol, sleepiness, or what have you?

Can someone tell me what is morally wrong with texting while driving?

When a Good Congress Goes Bad!

September 30, 2008

All that President Bush has to do now is yell “BOO.”

Maybe that will work better than his address on Tuesday?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26953481/?GT1=43001

Sorry Gee Dub…Congress hasn’t completely sold its soul to facism, and something about robbing American tax payers still rubs some of them the wrong way.

So, stop crying Mr. Bush…and stop trying to scare us into submission.
